Center for AI Kick Off Photos

On January 29th, 2024 more than 25 industry leaders converged upon the UNC Charlotte campus to converse about the future of AI in academia and industry fields. Participants included leaders from multinational financial services including Wells Fargo, retail industries such as Lowe’s. UNC Charlotte faculty and postdoctoral researchers were also in attendance. During the kick off, the leadership team consisting of Taufiquar Khan (Director), Doug Hague, and Agus Sudjianto (founding members of the advisory council) presented the vision, mission, research, challenges, and opportunities of the center. After the presentation, attendees participated in breakout discussion groups and shared their insights and ideas for their industry’s future and AI.
